What a year it has been at Konstruct

We are getting closer to the end of 2024 and the Konstruct team wants to wish everyone happy holidays, no matter what you are celebrating 🎉

A lot of things happened in the last year, and we cannot be more proud of what we achieved. In March, we got acquired by Civo, which propelled us to the next level of our journey. With that change in ownership, we also changed our pace, and moved to a four-day work week, which, contrary to one's beliefs, ended up as one of the most productive things we could have done. After bringing more talent on board to have the means to achieve our mission to make the cloud native space adoption and management easier, we started to work on a second product called Colony, a new bare metal product that gives you the ability to repurpose your data center hardware into new operating systems and Kubernetes clusters.

Since we existed, our company name was the same as our only product, Kubefirst, so we decided to rebrand ourselves to the new, already loved, Konstruct Inc. We all agreed that in the end, this is what we do: we are building (as in, a construction crew) amazing products (hey, it's the holidays season, let me brag about our work). With everything that happened in the last seven months, it was time for us in September to celebrate what we had accomplished with a team-offsite in Berlin, right after speaking and attending the great Civo Navigate conference. Despite all the excitement, we continued to enhance our first love, Kubefirst, and launched Kubefirst Pro. While doing so, we also added support for new clouds like Akamai, K3s (thanks to DrummyFloyd), and Microsoft Azure while solidifying our Google Cloud support. We implemented GPU clusters on Civo, multi-account support for AWS, all while continuing to improve the stability of the product overall.

Soon, many members of the team will take some deserved time off for the holidays so we can all come back stronger than ever for a new year filled with exciting new challenges, ambitious ideas and an amazing guest list for the Kubefirst Live. During that time, we will be less active in the Slack community, but rest easy as we will still be there to help you if you use this time of the year when things slow down to give Kubefirst a try!

Happy New Year!
See you in 2025 ♥️
